For most of us it's sometimes useful to read what other's have said about a practitioner so I offer the comments below that people have made. I'm exceedingly grateful to them all for their kindness in taking the time to write these words as well as the words themselves.

Bowen Technique/Consultations/Reiki
"I began receiving Bowen treatments with Helen Philip in 1997 having been involved in a serious road accident. I was in a coma for several weeks and I am now head injured and wheelchair reliant. Straight after my accident, I received physio from the NHS. This was painful and of little use. I started seeing Helen four months after my accident and on the first session she successfully managed to release my left arm from the locked position that physiotherapists had previously been unable to free. I have continued to have treatments on a monthly basis and so have become increasingly more supple and strong. In addition to this I find my treatment extemely relaxing, which is very beneficial in itself, and plan to continue my regular therapy with Helen. I would recommend treatments with Helen Philp to anybody, and would be prepared to speak personally with anybody who needed reassurance." Claire Humphries - Harlow

(Consultation) Time is never a factor, Helen is just an amazing person to talk to about everything and anything and invariably I've found whatever it is I don't want to discuss I do because some other force is at work. I always come out of a consultation feeling 'freer, lighter' ..
(Reiki) .. Reiki is just an amazing experience - sometimes you just know it's happening then and there, other times it's so much more subtle and it may be a couple of days before yo feel something has shifted. Personally for me to truly relax is very rare - not with Reiki. Reiki with intent (distance healing) is something else and I always know within 15 minuites or so when it has been sent, and it works. ..
(Bowen) .. Despite my hyper sensitivity I would rather have a Bowen Treatment than osteopathy or chiropractic work. Bowen is a fantastically gentle treatment and the benefits happen (for me) slowl and in their own time. Unlike other methods you don't feel as if you've been 'racked'!!
